About

We have spent the last three years restoring old red phone boxes in the New Forest.

So far we have restored eight boxes (seven for local councils and one privately).

The kiosks we restore are K6 Kiosks which were common in Britain from the 1930s onwards. After usage declined, BT began dismantling the phone boxes but many Parish Councils are now adopting them using the Adopt a Kiosk scheme.

After the telephone equipment is removed we work with local councils to restore the boxes and fit out new insides. Inside our boxes we have installed small book exchanges as well as leaflet holders and notice boards for local and New Forest information.

We hope that everyone enjoys using the phone boxes in their new use and please feel free to leave a comment in the visitor books. Please share our Facebook pages with your friends and let them know about the phone box's new role in the community.

We would like to thank Marchwood Parish Council, Bramshaw Parish Council, Lyndhurst Parish Council and Redlynch Parish Council for asking us to restore their phone boxes and supporting us during the projects.

We would also like to thank everyone who has played a part in maintaining and looking after the kiosks after the restorations are completed.

Several of our phone boxes have geocaches hidden inside them. To find out more about this, visit the Geocaching website.
